Job description
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take dental x-rays
- Prepare and maintain dental materials, supplies, and equipment inventory
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Schedule and manage the dental office calendar.
- Handle administrative tasks such as coordinating peers time effectively and efficiently.
- Take dental impressions and scans.
- Familiarization with DTX is a plus.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a dental assistant program or relevant experience
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft or similar dental office software systems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical receptionist duties and medical scheduling is a plus
- Familiarity with DENTRIX or other electronic medical record systems is a plus
