Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide essential therapeutic services to patients in outpatient Clinic. The COTA will play a crucial role in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their quality of life through personalized care plans.
Duties
Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, activities of daily living (ADLs), and mobility training.
Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and strategies for enhancing daily living skills.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and progress notes in accordance with facility policies.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with healthcare professionals.
Experience
Previous experience in, outpatient therapy is preferred.
Familiarity with Geriatric therapy practices is a plus.
Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and occupational health principles is beneficial.
Strong skills in assisting patients with care plans and understanding their individual needs are essential.
