Job Title: Charge Nurse

Location: Kineitx Surgery Center

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary: The Charge Nurse will oversee daily clinical operations in our surgery center, ensuring that all nursing activities comply with regulatory standards and organizational policies. This role will involve supervising nursing staff, managing nursing schedules, and assisting with administrative duties related to compliance and quality assurance. The Charge Nurse will collaborate closely with the medical team to provide optimal patient care while balancing administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate nursing staff in the surgery center, ensuring all patient care needs are met.

Develop and manage nursing schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels.

Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, organizational policies, and patient safety standards.

Assist with policy development and updates to maintain accreditation and compliance with state and federal regulations.

Provide direct patient care when needed, supporting surgical teams in delivering excellent care.

Facilitate staff training, professional development, and performance evaluations.

Conduct quality assurance audits and implement improvement plans for clinical and administrative workflows.

Act as a liaison between nurses, physicians, and administrative staff to promote effective communication and teamwork.

Monitor inventory of medical supplies and equipment and coordinate replenishment as needed.

Qualifications:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a surgical or perioperative setting.

Previous supervisory or charge nurse experience is highly desirable.

Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance, and quality assurance protocols.

Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
