As a DSP, you will be responsible for a variety of duties related to the overall care of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who isn’t afraid of taking initiative as well as being coachable. This position requires someone who is interested in encouraging our residents to live independent, productive lives.

About the Position
Positions are part-time. The following shifts are available:
Friday, Saturday and Sunday 3:00pm – 11:00pm
The worksite is located in Downey. We appreciate applicants who are flexible.
Preferred Qualifications
Completion of DSP 1 and 2
2 year Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and/or other developmental disabilities.
Required Qualifications
All eligible applicants must have Live Scan fingerprinting clearance with the Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) and proof of full COVID-19 vaccination record
CPI/CPR/First Aid certification
At least DSP Year 1 or equivalent experience and experience administering/assisting with medications
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Working phone and access to internet
Ability to push, pull, lift up to 25 lbs.
Ability to participate in activities that involve walking and standing
Must have reliable transportation to and from worksite
