Tomikawa Sushi Restaurant, a newly opened premium All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) concept sushi restaurant in Pasadena, is rapidly growing in popularity. Our customers appreciate our high-quality food and exceptional service, resulting in an increasing number of regular patrons and a generous tipping culture.
We are seeking experienced Front of House (FOH) staff to join our team and grow with us. Sushi restaurant experience is REQUIRED for the Server position. Please review the responsibilities and qualifications for the Server/Cashier/Busser roles below.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome all customers warmly.
- Learn and maintain comprehensive menu knowledge.
- Describe our concept, ordering process, and answer any questions from new guests.
- Keep the reception area clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
- Coordinate with service staff to maintain proper seating flow while greeting and seating guests attentively.
- Answer phone calls politely and warmly, assisting future guests with their inquiries.
- Process dine-in payments efficiently.
- Take accurate phone orders, input them into the POS system, and process take-out payments.
- Run food items to tables correctly.
- Clean and maintain tables and chairs in the dining area.
- Take bus trays to the dishwasher station.
- Follow opening and closing procedures meticulously.
Qualifications:
- Must have Valid Food Handlers card
- Must be RBS certified
- Candidates must have an exceptional personality and a hospitality-driven attitude. They should be polished, professional, friendly, dynamic, and able to multitask while taking initiative in a guest service-focused environment.
- Previous experience as a server is required. Experience as a cashier/busser is preferred.
- Must maintain a sense of urgency while attending to responsibilities and customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Punctuality is a must.
