Salary: $21/hr with our stores across the country earning between $6-$8+/hr in tips

Average Pay with Tips: $27-$29+/hr

Your role:

As the Shift Supervisor (Team Lead) your role will be to create a ‘unique Italian welcoming environment’ full of warmth and friendliness to our customers visiting our store. We pride ourselves in sourcing only the best ingredients, producing authentic recipes, and presenting a premium product offer to our customers, its therefore paramount that we deliver this with a premium service experience, that’s both high quality and genuine, enabling us to create loyal customers that will want to return time and time again.

The Shift Supervisor (Team Lead) will be responsible for supporting the store manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the store. You will need to ensure your team is working effectively and ensure customers are at the heart of everything you do. You will be working on your feet in a fast-paced environment that will be busy and require you to slide between duties from selling, refilling the store’s needs, visual merchandising, cash handling, employee coaching, processing register transactions, and etc…

A key expectation that will define your success in the role, is a candidate who is confident in interacting with people, leading their team by example, and takes great satisfaction from knowing your great service has made a customer’s day better.

In summary…

A brief understanding of operational KPI’s including sales, waste, and labor.

Assist and support the store manager with day-to-day operational priorities and run the shop in their absence.

A supervisor must be hands on – willingness to chip in as and when necessary.

Be proactive towards achieving targets, planning the shift according to the goals and placing the team members in the right positions to maximize every opportunity.

Open and close the store using the daily checklists.

Cash handling and reconciling the cash register daily.

To always maintain a clean safe workplace and adhere to health and safety legislation.

Encourage clear and engaging communication between team members and upwards.

Monitor, support, and coach the team to ensure they reach their potential.

Keep the store manager aware and informed on the team’s and team member’s individual performance.

React and adapt quickly to change and make timely thoughtful decisions.

Ensure the team consistently delivers a great customer’s service and provides the best product according to the Venchi guidelines and mission statement.
