Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that customers receive prompt, friendly, and efficient service while maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Responsibilities:
- Welcome and greet all guests with enthusiasm and friendliness upon arrival.
- Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly and in compliance with company policies.
- Provide accurate and friendly responses to guest inquiries about menu items, beverages, and restaurant facilities.
- Perform side work duties during non-peak hours to maintain operational efficiency.
- Engage with guests in a positive and enthusiastic manner to build rapport and enhance their dining experience.
- Deliver service of the highest quality, meeting or exceeding company standards.
- Take orders at the table with 100% accuracy utilizing the handheld POS.
- Promptly relay food orders to the kitchen and deliver items to tables in a timely manner.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor throughout shifts.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth coordination and guest satisfaction.
- Arrive for scheduled shifts punctually, in complete uniform, and ready to fulfill duties.
- Foster positive working relationships with coworkers to promote a cooperative work environment.
- Adhere meticulously to checklists and standard operating procedures.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and well-stocked to facilitate efficient service.
- Stay informed about menu offerings, recipes, and relevant information to assist guests effectively.
- Continuously expand knowledge of food, beverage, and service offerings to provide informed recommendations to guests.
- Serve guests in both the cocktail lounge and main dining area as required.
- Ensure guests have a positive and memorable experience at the restaurant.
- Uphold rigorous standards of sanitation, organization, and food handling practices.
- Prepare work areas for opening, mid-shift, or closing in accordance with company guidelines.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as per business needs.
- Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor settings as needed.
- Utilize computers for various operational tasks.
- Maintain flexibility in scheduling to accommodate fluctuations in business demands.
Experience & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred; must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Possession of a valid California Food Safety Food Handlers Certification.
- Capacity to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to purchase a collared employee shirt upon hiring.
- Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and contributing to the restaurant’s ambiance.
- Demonstrated competency as outlined in the training schedule.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and a naturally outgoing personality.
- Strong team player with a diligent work ethic.
- Commitment to honesty and integrity in all interactions.
- Consistent completion of job responsibilities and performance objectives in accordance with company policies.
- Ability to cultivate positive working relationships with all colleagues.
- Willingness to perform additional duties and responsibilities as required and assigned.
- Capability to withstand prolonged standing, bending, twisting, and lifting heavy items up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable operating various equipment, including hot, cold, and hazardous tools.
- Proactive problem-solving skills, with a focus on finding solutions rather than passively complaining.
