Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our crew. As a Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our restaurant and catering services.
Duties
Prepare ingredients for cooking by washing, chopping, slicing, and dicing seafood and vegatables as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper food storage practices.
Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure high standards of hygiene.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools.
Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting shortages to management.
Qualifications
Previous experience in the food industry is preferred.
Familiarity with food handling procedures and safety regulations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with crew members.
