Pizzeria Bianco in Downtown Los Angeles is looking to bring on line cooks and prep cooks to join our team.
A restaurant by James Beard Award Winning Chef Chris Bianco, Pizzeria Bianco DTLA is a fast paced restaurant that specializes in wood-fired pizza and other Italian and Southern California inspired dishes. We are looking for individuals with prior restaurant experience who have worked with similar kinds of cuisine and are passionate about local food.
Responsibilities (Vary by Position):
- Execute menu items with precision and consistency, following recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, butchering meats, and measuring spices.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with fellow kitchen team members to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of orders.
- Assist in inventory management, including receiving deliveries and rotating stock as needed.
- Follow all kitchen procedures and guidelines, including portion control and waste reduction.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of food products.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals.
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment operation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Passion for food and a desire to learn and grow in the culinary field.
- California State Food-Handling Certified
