Mi Piace, a renowned upscale Italian dining restaurant located in the vibrant heart of Pasadena, is seeking dedicated
and polished professionals to join our exceptional team. We are currently hiring for the following positions:
Hostess, Barista/Cashier, and Bartender. If you have a passion for delivering exceptional service

1. Hostess
As the first point of contact and the last interaction for our guests, the Hostess plays a critical role in setting the tone for the dining experience at Mi Piace. We are seeking an individual with a warm, welcoming demeanor and exceptional organizational skills.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a high-volume, upscale dining environment and the ability to manage reservations
and seating arrangements efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests with a warm and professional demeanor.
- Manage reservations through Open Table and coordinate seating arrangements to optimize the dining flow.
- Assist in maintaining the ambiance and cleanliness of the entrance area.
- Handle guest inquiries and accommodate special requests with grace.
- Collaborate and consistently communicate with the management team to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Hostess in an upscale dining environment is preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A polished and professional appearance.
2. Barista/Bakery
The Barista/Bakery person at Mi Piace is responsible for crafting high-quality coffee beverages and ensuring a seamless guest experience at the point of sale. We are looking for a candidate with a passion for food, coffee, pastries and customer service, as well as the ability to handle transactions with precision and a friendly attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, and lattes.
- Articulately describe our pastries, and present them accurately.
- Process guest transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station and cashier area.
- Provide guests with prompt and attentive service, ensuring a positive experience.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking as needed.
- Process and package takeout orders with precision, while maintaining customer service standards
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Barista/Bakery service in a high-volume setting.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
3. Bartender
The Bartender at Mi Piace is responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service in our bustling lounge and bar area. We are looking for a candidate with extensive knowledge of cocktails, wines, and spirits, as well as the ability to
provide a refined yet approachable service experience.
Responsibilities:
- Take and serve food and drink orders with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on food cocktails, wines, and spirits.
- Ensure that all drinks are prepared and presented to the highest standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down the bar as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including table settings and glassware.
- Assist with wine service and pairings, as well as other specialized service offerings.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a bartender in an upscale, high-volume environment.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, wines, and spirits.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A polished and professional appearance with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
