Compensation: $25/hour
Schedule: Full-Time, PM Shift (2:00 PM start), 5 days/week

Position Overview:
We are hiring a skilled and dedicated Grill/Sauté Cook for a full-time PM shift position, starting at 2:00 PM, five days a week. This role is integral to our kitchen operations, requiring precision, creativity, and a strong work ethic to maintain the high standards of our establishment. Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and execute a variety of dishes with a focus on grill and sauté stations, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to our bistro’s recipes and presentation standards.

Grill, sauté, and finish proteins (e.g., steak, poultry, fish) and accompaniments to order, meeting the expectations of a discerning clientele.

Manage mise en place for the station, including prepping ingredients, sauces, and garnishes ahead of service.

Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service during peak hours.

Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper rotation and quality of ingredients.

Contribute to menu specials by offering creative input while respecting the bistro’s French culinary identity.

Adapt to the ebb and flow of a busy PM shift, maintaining composure and efficiency under pressure.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a grill or sauté cook in a high-volume, upscale restaurant (French cuisine experience preferred).

Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, particularly grilling, sautéing, and sauce preparation.

Ability to work a PM shift starting at 2:00 PM, five days a week, with flexibility for weekends and holidays.

Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering top-quality dishes.

Familiarity with French culinary terms, ingredients, and traditions is a plus.

Team player with excellent communication skills and a professional attitude.

Food Handler’s Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
