Reports To: Restaurant Manager

Job Overview:

Furnsaj Bakery and Restaurant is looking for a passionate and skilled Cook to join our dynamic team. As a Cook at our establishment, you will play a key role in preparing high-quality meals, from freshly baked goods to savory dishes that embody the essence of our bakery and restaurant. You will work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure food is prepared to the highest standards and delivered to our guests with care and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a variety of bakery items, pastries, and savory dishes according to menu specifications.

Ensure all food items are prepared, cooked, and presented in a timely manner, maintaining high standards of quality.

Follow food safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Assist in daily kitchen prep by ensuring all ingredients and equipment are ready for service.

Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to maintain efficiency and consistency in food preparation.

Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages

Ensure proper portion control and presentation of all dishes served.

Contribute ideas for new menu items or improvements to existing dishes, focusing on creativity and customer satisfaction.

Adhere to health and safety standards, including cleaning, sanitation, and maintaining equipment.

Maintain a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role in a bakery or restaurant setting.

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Passion for food and a desire to create exceptional culinary experiences.

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.

Culinary degree or certification is a plus, but not required.

6 days/week: Tuesday - Sunday (11am - 9pm)

3 days/week Friday - Sunday (7am - 3pm)
