A line cook is responsible for preparing food in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Key responsibilities include:
Preparing ingredients for dishes, including chopping, cutting, and measuring
Cooking menu items according to established recipes and standards
Maintaining a clean and organized work area
Adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure efficient and consistent food production
Following written and verbal instructions from the head line cook
Requirements for this role typically include prior cooking experience, knowledge of kitchen equipment and techniques, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
