Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Kitchen Manager with pizza experience to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, from menu development to staff supervision, ensuring that all food preparation meets our high standards. The Kitchen Manager will report to the Executive Chef and manage kitchen activities, food quality control, and overall operations.

Key Responsibilities

Pizza Expertise: Manage all aspects of pizza preparation, including dough making, baking, and managing pizza oven operations.

Menu Development: Assist in creating new menu items and seasonal specials, with a focus on pizza and Italian cuisine.

Staff Management: Hire, train, and supervise kitchen staff (line cooks, pizza cooks, prep cooks, dishwashers) while maintaining a positive work environment.

Kitchen Operations: Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and equipment maintenance.

Inventory Management: Manage food inventory and minimize waste, placing orders as needed.

Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks and address issues promptly to maintain high food standards.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Kitchen Manager or Lead Line Cook in a full-service restaurant.

At least 1 year of experience in pizza preparation required.

Strong culinary skills with a focus on Italian cuisine.

Proficiency in food cost control and inventory management.

Leadership experience in managing kitchen staff.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

ServSafe Manager Certification required.

Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Working Conditions

Flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
