Position: Baker
Job Description:
As a Baker at Follow Your Heart Market & Cafe / Rising Hearts Bakery, you will play a vital role in our mission to create delicious vegan baked goods. Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing our entire line of vegan baked goods using written recipes and prep procedures.
Decorating, cutting, and neatly presenting all prepared baked goods.
Safely handling large commercial bakery equipment and kitchen utensils, including ovens, mixers, food processors/blenders, dishwashers, and stove tops.
Contributing to daily cleaning responsibilities of the commercial kitchen, including maintaining and organizing prep stations and understanding the proper use of cleaning products.
Completing custom orders to ensure customer specifications and requests are met.
Ensuring all food handling operations are in accordance with state and federal food safety laws and sanitation standards.
Rotating stock of refrigerated and frozen ingredients using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method.
Training other associates as needed.
Assisting in other duties as assigned.

Baking: 1 year (Required)
