Our Team Leaders support our General Managers in driving daily operations in delivering great experiences to every guest every time they visit us. We encourage our team members to be well-rounded and willing to do whatever it takes to keep Zinc running smoothly. Responsibilities:
Team Member responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead the daily operations of café and market
Welcome and connect with every guest, provide friendly and personable service
Ensure staff are compliant with proper time clock practices (including breaks) as well as in the proper uniform
Manage and oversee direct reports
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of all positions that you oversee and maintain the ability to cover each position as needed
Maintain knowledge of all our menus & products and demonstrate knowledge of dietary/allergy information and proper food handling
Operate a POS register to complete customer transactions
Assist the General Manager with projects and administrative tasks
Uphold health, safety and sanitation guidelines through leading by example as well as coaching and correcting staff
Collaborate with and support fellow team members
Ensure product displays are full and properly maintained
Communicate effectively with the kitchen and front of house teams and embody an environment of team work
Handle varying levels of business volume with composure & a positive attitude and support team members so they can do the same
Ensure the team completes all opening and closing duties and assist with duties as needed
Maintain customer privacy, behave with open-mindedness and cultural sensitivity
Follow all safety and state guidelines for preventing transmission of Covid-19 and other illnesses

2+ years experience in a casual dining restaurant, market or café , supervisory experience is a plus
Fluent in English
Food handlers certification
Work Authorization: United States Citizen or Undocumented Noncitizen authorized to work in the United States
Work Context:
Walking and standing for long periods of time
Working with foods and beverages
Tasks will be performed using and in the proximity of coolers, stoves, and other hot equipment
The employee may frequently be required to stoop, kneel, and crouch for duration of shift (eight hours or longer)
The employee must frequently lift and/or move and/or push up to 50 pounds without assistance
