Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Delivery Driver to join our team at a popular pizza restaurant in Van Nuys. The Delivery Driver will primarily be responsible for delivering orders in a timely and efficient manner, while providing exceptional customer service. Additionally, the ideal candidate will also assist with kitchen duties such as making salads and helping with food preparation whenever required.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate and maintain delivery vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Efficiently deliver orders to customers in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction.
- Handle cash payments and provide correct change while maintaining accurate records of transactions.
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner during deliveries, representing the restaurant in a positive manner.
- Assist with general kitchen duties, such as preparing salads, arranging food ingredients, and supporting other kitchen staff as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the delivery vehicle, ensuring safe food handling and hygiene practices.
- Adhere to all food safety guidelines and company standards to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints or concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a delivery driver, preferably in a restaurant or food service setting.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to operate delivery vehicles, including cars or scooters, confidently and safely.
- Excellent knowledge of Van Nuys and surrounding areas to ensure efficient navigation.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide a friendly and professional experience.
- Flexibility to assist in kitchen duties, such as salad-making and food preparation.
- Basic understanding of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills to prioritize deliveries and ensure on-time arrivals.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members in a positive and professional manner.
Compensation:
- Hourly rate: $17 - 27
