Luckys in Malibu is currently looking for Lunch, Brunch and Dinner Busser's.

Must have week nights available starting @ 3:30pm and full weekend availability.

POSITION TITLE Busser

SUMMARY Provide professional courteous service, including clear and reset tables, brings bread & butter, water, tea and coffee to table. Restock restaurant service station(s) with clean linen, buffed china, silver and glassware while maintaining an organized and stocked bread area. Work as a team to ensure service

REPORTS TO Restaurant Manager/Supervisor

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

1. Ensure tables and stations are prepared with proper set ups, all silver and glassware buffed, all linen clean and free of wrinkles, stains, tears or visible snags and tags

2. Assist servers in preparing the restaurant for service

3. Ensure all china, silver and glassware in service stations are free of spots, fingerprints, lipstick stains, soap residues or other items

4. Maintains cleanliness of back stations and ensures adequate stock of bread, butter, china, liners, bread severs and all other necessary equipment

5. Knows location of all supplies and equipment; maintains constant vigilance of quantity of all supply levels in the restaurant serving stations; replenishes are required

6. Knowledge of menu items and basics of wine service

7. Operation and service of espresso machine beverages

8. Communicates with bar, server, food runners and guests on an ongoing basis

9. Takes initiative in clearing tables and resets correctly according to Lucky's standards, remove/replace china, silver and glassware as needed from the table and room quietly and unobtrusively

10. Unload unused china, glass and silverware appropriately at dishwashing station

11. Respond immediately to all guests' requests and promptly informs server of necessary information

12. Familiar with table numbers, station numbers and seat positions

13. Assist in delivery of all food items in the prescribed manner, ensure plates are clean and garnished correctly

14. Relay all information, guest and/or staff accidents, complaints comments or compliments to the manager on duty; all guest complaints are handled immediately

15. Maintain thorough and current knowledge of all restaurant policies, features and hours of operation.

16. Promote positive relations with guests and employees; acknowledge all guests within sight with a smile and bid all guests thank you and good day (night)

17. Maintain confidentiality and security of Lucky's information

18. Review status of incomplete work and follow-up with appropriate action

19. Assist management whenever called upon

SUPPLEMENTAL DUTIES

1. Report to the restaurant manager on duty upon arrival, prior to taking meal and rest breaks, and prior to departure

2. Punch in and out appropriately

3. Check and be familiar with schedule and any changes, daily menu specials, 86'd items, wines by the glass

4. Knows hours of operation

5. Complete all assigned side work prior, during and after shift

6. Assist with special holiday and event setups, buffets and other group functions, including move tables and chairs
