The Village Bakery and Cafe in Atwater Village is looking for a passionate, reliable, happy baker to join our team. This will start as a part-time position (4 shifts per week) but can grow into a full time position once training is completed. Shifts start at 6am and weekend work (both Saturday and Sunday) is required. You WILL have a fixed schedule with at least 2 days off in a row.
You will be responsible for opening the bakery in the morning (morning baking and setting up the pastry case) and you will be helping with wholesale baking (cookies) and everyday production duties (cake batters, cookie doughs, brownies, muffin batters, frostings, etc).

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:
- Experience in a professional bakery
- Strong attention to detail & ability to follow recipes
- Ability to communicate with team and leads.
- Accountability

- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Punctuality & dependability (we need you to show up for the shifts that you’re scheduled for AND to be on time)
- A positive, upbeat demeanor
