Job DescriptionAn employer is looking for a Sr. Storage Field Engineer to support the Storage Integrity Management group at a Natural Gas Utility customer in Southern California. You are expected to be an expert in well and reservoir integrity assessment. Primarily focus is on gas storage well and reservoir integrity assessment, cased hole inspection tool (cement bond log [CBL], magnetic flux leakage [MFL] ultrasonic thickness [UT] and through-tubing) data interpretation, burst pressure modeling [Barlow, API RP 579 Level II, and/or equivalent burst pressure models]), creation/implementation of research projects to define inspection tool performance and limitations, development of novel approaches to well integrity assessment, and risk and threat identification. You will review cased hole inspection data and utilizes reservoir engineering/geoscience experience to identify potential causative factors for corrosion growth and works with other departments within Integrity Management to determine potential mitigative and preventive measures. You will develop and provide input on Company Gas Standards, specifications, and procedures. Additionally expected to participate in and provide technical input to review of proposed changes to codes and standards, as well as recommend modifications to Gas Standards to reflect regulatory changes.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Bachelors degree in petroleum engineering, earth science, or other engineering discipline
10 years of experience in engineering, ideally oil and gas operations
3-5 of those years above in gas storage engineering or well and reservoir integrity assessment
Professional experience running and/or interpreting MFL and/or UT inspection tools, cement bond logs, and open hole logs (Downhole inspection tools)
Data analytics skills to interpret corrosion data and identify factors environmental and well components - which may contribute to corrosion growth
Valid driver's license and reliable Transportaion
Hybrid schedule - 1 flex day in any location, 2 days onsite at HQ - Professional Engineering registration in state of CA null
