job detailsOur client is looking to hire a Publishing Specialist responsible for updating data, formatting, layout, design and content for print, PDF and presentation materials based on established templates in PowerPoint using the Seismic platform This is a 6+ month contract opportunity. Hybrid position onsite 3 days a week in the LA office Tues - Thurs. Skills and Requirements:
Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 (advanced), Microsoft Excel (intermediate; charting skills critical)
Familiarity with financial concepts and the investment industry, including key data elements. Work in another highly regulated industry (pharma, legal) a plus
Demonstrates a keen ability to problem solve and manage ambiguity
Demonstrates analytical thinking, an eye for detail and ability to spot trends and variances in data; able to work with large volumes of data from multiple sources
Self-starter, inspired by ideas and team oriented
1-3 years of experience working in a creative corporate environment

Updates data, formatting, layout, design and content for print, PDF and presentation materials based on established templates in PowerPoint using the Seismic platform
Updates and creates charts, graphs, templates, and exhibits to be used in communications materials, websites, and/or presentations
May prepare presentation and notes files for use in meetings and webcasts
Customizes materials based on client needs while still ing brand, style and data presentation guidelines
Demonstrates a solid working knowledge of the following software: Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 (advanced), Microsoft Excel (intermediate; charting skills critical)
Demonstrates detail orientation, process orientation, organizational, and multi-tasking skills; ability to effectively manage an unpredictable workload and meet established deadlines
Demonstrates a keen ability to problem solve and manage ambiguity
