Description We are searching for a diligent Patient Registration professional to join our team in Los Angeles, California. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately registering patients, maintaining positive relationships with all hospital employees, and ensuring the adherence to registration policies and procedures. This role is an excellent fit for individuals with skills in patient registration, medical terminology, and insurance verification. This position is from Friday - Monday, 2 pm - 10:30 pm.Responsibilities: Registering patients accurately, ensuring all information such as insured's name, relationship, and policy number are correct. Building and maintaining positive and constructive relationships with all hospital employees. Verifying each admission conforms to the defined policies and procedures of the registration process. Ensuring authorizations have been obtained and entered into the system. Attending department staff meetings and complying with health stream and employee health requirements. Assisting the Department Lead and Supervisor as required. Ensuring all patient registrations are accurate and proficient, according to departmental policies and procedures. Performing quality assurance to ensure the highest degree of data integrity through the timely, complete, and efficient collection of patient information. Completing age-specific competency orientation and training. Ensuring that appropriate supplies and equipment are available, accounted for, and used in a cost-effective manner. Providing a clean, comfortable environment for customers by taking appropriate safety precautions and responding to urgent safety situations effectively. Participating in department problem solving and quality improvement programs.Requirements Proficiency in Basic Medical Terminology Experience in Patient Registration Familiarity with the role of Patient Registrar Knowledge and experience in Emergency Medicine Understanding of Patient Access procedures Ability to collect and manage Patient Demographic data Experience with Patient Insurance procedures Understanding of Medical Insurance policies and procedures Proficiency in Medical Insurance Verification Ability to handle Medical Insurance Billing tasks Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
