Job DescriptionThe Landside Construction Manager will be responsible for supervising all landside construction activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires extensive experience in infrastructure development, contractor oversight, and construction quality management within an airport environment.The selected candidate will work closely with engineers, inspectors, and project managers to ensure that all construction activities meet the required standards while maintaining safety and operational efficiency.Responsibilities:

Supervise all aspects of landside construction, including utility installations, pavement work, terminal expansions, and transportation infrastructure.

Coordinate with FAA officials, local government agencies, and airport stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.

Ensure strict adherence to FAA construction safety standards, OSHA regulations, and state/local compliance requirements.

Monitor progress, budgets, and quality control measures, ensuring that construction activities align with project specifications.

Troubleshoot and resolve on-site construction challenges, ensuring efficient problem-solving and risk mitigation.

Enforce contract compliance by verifying that all work meets design and safety standards.

Conduct field inspections to ensure construction materials and workmanship comply with FAA and DOT requirements.

SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.

7+ years of experience managing construction on airport or DOT projects.

Comprehensive understanding of FAA construction safety, CSPP (Construction Safety and Phasing Plan), and Caltrans highway standards.

Strong background in contract administration, construction scheduling, and safety enforcement

Additional InformationThe salary range for this full-time role is $140K-$205k per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package.  Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
