The work will be challenging, but always rewarding.It’s Work That Matters.OverviewPurpose Statement/Position Summary: The Senior Immigration Advisor, under the direction of the Director of Human Resources, will serve as the hospital’s expert resource for all immigration matters. This position is responsible for the preparation, coordination, management, and submission of non-immigrant employment visa petitions for hospital staff. Assists with HR initiatives and programs in a confidential capacity to formulate, determine and effectuate management policies. This role must manage all work independently, provide exceptional service excellence while being able to write and communicate effectively with everyone with whom this role partners with. This position is also responsible for serving as the knowledge base and is responsible for insuring that all activities are managed in accordance with the law. Lastly, the Advisor must be able to analyze data, have effective systems for tracking all activity and must be able to maintain and develop recommendations and action plans.Schedule:Monday-Friday, 8:00 PM - 5:00 PMThis position is remote, however, you are required to be onsite (as needed) for document delivery and/or immigration document pick ups.Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: Five (5) + years of progressive experience with complex immigration cases working with employment visas, non-immigration employment matters and petitions. Knowledge of federal immigration and other regulations pertaining to international students and scholars. Experience with OFCCP affirmative action plans and requirements. Must possess manual dexterity and visual and auditory acuity to utilize computer keyboard and other equipment. Demonstrated computer literacy.Education/Licensure/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred. Juris Doctor (JD) is also preferred.Pay Scale Information$94,224.00-$169,728.00CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
