Grant Accounting Coordinator

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Grant Accountant, based in Los Angeles, California. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of financial and accounting projects and tasks. Your key responsibilities will involve general ledger management, grants administration, account analysis, and reconciliations. This opportunity provides excellent benefits and a hybrid work schedule.Responsibilities: Prepare and submit city, state and federal grant RFPs, applications, and renewals, including detailed budgets Interact directly with funding sources, from the RFP process through renewals and close-out processes Work closely with various departments to ensure smooth and accurate grant invoicing and compliance s Prepare monthly grant billings and invoices Book journal entries related to grant activities Provide analysis of and manage the monthly grant budget to actual variance reports and ad hoc reports as necessary. Ensure all aspects of grant reconciliation are completed at at month and year end Proactively assist with grants collections. Provide support to the accounting department during month end close Manage the preparation and review of grant budget modifications and maintain a progress listing of the modifications. Requirements 3+ years of general ledger/non-profit accounting experience and a minimum of 1 year of government grant management experience is required.
