Full-Time Housekeeper/Cook
Location: Santa Monica
Schedule: 6 days per week, 8 hours per day (flexible start time, such as 8 AM–4 PM or 9 AM–5 PM)
Compensation: $30-35/hour
A family of five in Santa Monica is seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented housekeeper to care for their two-story, five-bedroom home. This role requires someone with strong skills in deep cleaning, ironing, and household organization. The ideal candidate should be calm, proactive, and efficient, with experience working in a home with young children. The family prefers someone who has long-term experience in previous positions and excellent references. Candidates should be kind, discreet, and focused, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail. This role requires the ability to work independently and complete tasks efficiently.
The family appreciates someone who is comfortable cooking dinner 3 times per week for the family. The meals can be simple but nutritional (they are not seeking professional, chef quality meals), and ideal candidates should be able to follow a recipe and be confident in the kitchen. Occasionally, the family may require some help with small childcare-related tasks or drive for the family if the nanny or parents cannot. The position does not involve grocery shopping, managing the house, or pet care. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean and organized home, and loves to take care of a family. Daily Tasks:
Deep cleaning and sanitizing of main traffic areas, such as kitchens and bathrooms.
General tidying and maintenance of the home.
Following a set cleaning schedule with specific focus areas.
Weekly/Monthly Tasks:
Washing and ironing household sheets weekly (children’s sheets are handled by their nanny).
Deep cleaning closets, cupboards, and the pantry once a month.
Organizing storage spaces, including occasional garage organization.
Rotating deep-cleaning tasks as needed.
Cooking: Preparing healthy, home-cooked meals for the family 3 times per week.
Following provided recipes or making simple, nutritious dishes.
Providing occasional driving support for the family, if needed.
