- Lead the team, processes, and tools to meet air vehicle requirements development.
- The position requires an understanding of aerospace engineering principles and concepts related to aircraft aerodynamics, flight loads, stability and control, and flight dynamics, as well as a solid mathematical background, a detailed conceptual understanding of aircraft dynamics, and strong attention to detail.
- Supports analysis and structural substantiation needs related to the Maintenance business enterprise for 14 CFR Part 25
- Ability to generate thorough, detailed, and timely structural analysis reports.
- Interfaces with structural, mechanical systems, interior, avionics, and electrical design engineers to ensure certifiable designs for all structural aspects and generates the associated substantiating analysis and/or testing required.
- Ideal candidate will be comfortable with engineering process development and capable of logical code development and data manipulation using Matlab or other scripting language.
- Familiarity with FAR Part 23 or Part 25 certification requirements is required.
- 4 years of applied experience as a Flight Sciences Engineer
- Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering
- Familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) governing aircraft certification.
- Strong understanding of aircraft structural installations (both interior and airframe).
- Strong command of classical hand-analysis techniques.
- Experience with aircraft modification designs under14 CFR Part 25 STC projects, and test plans and test report authoring and review.
- Candidates should possess good verbal and written communication skills and must function well in a multi-disciplinary team.
