Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Los Angeles, California. Operating within the industry, you will be tasked with handling vendor invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accurate payments. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, providing you with a chance to showcase your skills in account coding, auditing, and Canopy ERP system. Responsibilities: Handle the daily processing of vendor invoices and ensure their accurate payment. Resolve discrepancies and reconcile vendor accounts for smooth financial operations. Utilize accounting software systems to enter invoices and determine proper GL coding. Regularly monitor and update vendor statements for accuracy. Utilize your skills in account coding to ensure accurate financial records. Assist in auditing detailed monthly expenditure reports to ensure financial accuracy. Handle special projects as time permits, showcasing your ability to balance multiple tasks. Utilize the ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning system to enhance efficiency in accounts payable operations. Address vendor inquiries and complaints, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Maintain the 1099/W9 and perform year-end processing tasks, showcasing your knowledge of accrual accounting.Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role Proficiency in account coding Experience with accounting software systems Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services Proficiency in using Concur Experience in Canopy ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning Knowledge of accounting functions Experience in Accounts Payable (AP), Excel and manufacturing industry experience is a plus Understanding of accrual accounting Experience in auditing Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) proceduresRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
