Accounting Manager

Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager in the Wholesale Distribution industry, based in Los Angeles, California. As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for various accounting activities such as month-end general ledger close activities, account reconciliations, and inventory account reconciliations. Your role will also involve using software like SAP S4/Hana and Epicor.Responsibilities: Conduct month-end general ledger close activities ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Research and resolve variances that occur in the accounting process. Perform complex journal entries preparation and booking. Handle account reconciliations, including intercompany account reconciliations. Manage trial balance review to ensure financial accuracy. Oversee accrual accounting processes and procedures. Ensure accurate and timely inventory accounts reconciliations. Utilize SAP S/4HANA and Epicor ERP systems for various accounting tasks. Maintain a thorough understanding of the flow of inventory in the manufacturing process. Prepare and manage adjusting journal entries and general journal entries. Requirements Proven experience in managing accounting functions in a wholesale distribution environment. Proficiency in executing Month End Close processes. Demonstrated ability to create and adjust Journal Entries. Familiarity with General Journal and Intercompany Accounting procedures. Experience in managing Intercompany Eliminations and Transactions. Ability to prepare and review Trial Balance records. Knowledge of Accrual Accounting practices. Proficient in using SAP S/4HANA and Epicor ERP systems preferred. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
