We need a permit expediter/land use expert in Los Angeles. It will be a remote position but they need to have experience in LA. Must have experience with apartments in Los Angeles. Somebody who has had experience entitling apartment buildings in Los Angeles.Will start as part time and could eventually become full time if interested and if needed.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permit Expediter / Land Use Expert to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the Los Angeles building codes, zoning regulations, and the permit application process. This role requires someone who can navigate the complexities of local government agencies to ensure our projects meet all legal requirements and are approved in a timely manner.
>Responsibilities:
-Conduct thorough reviews of project plans to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
-Prepare and submit permit applications to various governmental agencies, and follow up to expedite approval processes.
-Act as the primary liaison between us, clients, and government officials.
-Provide expert advice on zoning laws, building codes, and land use policies.
-Coordinate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to resolve any potential issues that may arise during the permitting process.
-Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation and regulations that may impact project development.
>Qualifications:
-Must have experience with apartments in Los Angeles. Somebody who has had experience entitling apartment buildings in Los Angeles.
-Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
-Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Permit Expediter or in a similar role, specifically within the Los Angeles area.
-Strong understanding of Los Angeles County and City zoning ordinances and building codes.
-Proven track record of successfully navigating the permit application process for various types of construction and development projects.
-Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $20.00 - $90.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 30 per week
