ADAS Engineer, DMS Algorithm Development (Salary Range: $140,000/yr - $172,700/yr): Develop algorithms and models to deliver driver monitor system (DMS) software in the automatic driver assistance system (ADAS) using Computer Vision (CV) and Deep Learning (DL) approaches. Participate in the product development life cycle of ADAS: requirements, architect/design, implementation, testing, and deployment to target embedded platforms. Perform engineering duties in research, design, development, test, or supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for our electric vehicles. Maintain the “in development” vehicles by developing and designing a process to collect data and test the ADAS system to provide development and validation data to the ADAS program. Participate in data collection, preprocessing, labeling, testing, and analysis for CV and DL algorithms/models. Develop CV and DL algorithms that include object detection, keypoint detection (face, eye, body), pose estimation (face, body), gaze estimation, sleepiness detection, face recognition, facial expression recognition, and action recognition. Collaborate with commercial teams Programs, Supply Chain to ensure cost targets and schedules. Ensure compliance of the intended functionality with all functional and non-functional requirements and with automotive industry standards.
REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field. 2 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer or a related occupation.
SKILLS: Must have:
1. Two (2) years of experience in at least one of the following: Driver Monitoring System (DMS), automatic driver assistance system (ADAS), or face biometrics.
2. Experience in Deep Learning model development for Computer Vision (CV) applications.
3. Experience with C or Python.
4. Experience with PyTorch or Tensorflow.
5. Experience with software testing and versioning tools (Git, OpenCV).
6. Experience with Git version control software.
7. Experience with embedded computing platforms, code optimization for memory and speed, and multi-SOC systems.
