Are you an amazing educator with a love for the outdoors and a passion for working with young children? Little Finch Forest School LA is seeking a dedicated Toddler Forest School Teacher to join our vibrant community of children, parents, and teachers.

We are a dynamic community of children, parents, and dedicated teachers at Little Finch Forest School. Our commitment is to provide a nurturing and exploratory environment for our group of students, aged 2.5 to 5.5 years old. We emphasize emotional growth, nature connection, and the development of core values in our play-based learning approach, guided by Jon Young's "Coyote's Guide."
Position Details:
Schedule: Tuesday and Thursday, 8:30 AM - 1:30 PM (May to August) with option to add more days for the fall semester (September-January)
Schedule: Toddler Teacher, children ages 2.5-3.4
Trial Period: April or May (paid)
Responsibilities:
Developing curriculum for children aged 2.5-3.4
Collaborating with co-teachers
Leading activities and nature lessons
Ensuring safety and facilitating meaningful learning experiences
maintaining reflection journals
Qualifications:
Comfort with outdoor settings and weather
safety knowledge in nature
CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Availability to start training in April
Reliable transportation
Phone with a camera and a computer for communication
Physical Requirements:
Physical fitness for outdoor activities
Ability to carry a backpack and occasionally lift a child
Rain Gear: Provided
Pay: Competitive and based on experience
