Advance Tutoring Center, located in Rosemead, provides afterschool academic support for students in grades 1–12. Our program focuses on homework help (primarily math and English), as well as fun Friday activities to keep students engaged. We keep our class sizes small (maximum of 12 students) and group students by grade level for a supportive learning environment.
We are currently seeking enthusiastic and responsible tutors to work with our 1st–2nd grade and 3rd–4th grade classes.
Schedule & Hours:
Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 6:30 PM (guaranteed 17.5 hours per week)
Plus 1.5 hours of prep time weekly (after probation period)
Priority given to applicants available all five weekdays
Additional opportunities available for Saturday one-on-one tutoring (based on student demand)
Compensation:
Starting at $17/hour, with potential increases based on prior experience
Qualifications:
College students or graduates preferred (all majors welcome)
Previous tutoring, teaching, or childcare experience a plus
Strong skills in math and English (elementary level)
Responsible, patient, and able to manage small groups of students
Must enjoy working with children and helping them succeed academically
