REQUIRED: Red Cross Certification in WSI- Water Safety Instruction ; A plus if you are Certified Lifeguard- Extension Accepted

Competitive Swim Experience Preferred-Former/current swimming team, water polo players, diving team
Reliable Transportation Necessary to go to client's homes in Santa Monica, Brentwood, Hancock Park, Bel Air, Pacific Palisades, Calabasas, Beverly Hills, Playa Vista, West Hollywood, Sherman Oaks, etc.
Prefer candidates who live on Westside

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Teaching one-on-one swim lessons to children between the ages of 1-16 years old
Teachers at private residences, HOA pools in Bel Air, Pacific Palisades, and a shared pool in Beverly Hills
Responsible for performing an introductory evaluation of baseline swim skills, water anxieties, and/or a learning plateau from previous lessons
Responsible for communicating effectively with parents and scheduling lessons
Explain safety rules to parents, assistants, and nannies and enforce policy
Provide continuous, positive corrective feedback to students and parents on their swimming progress
Maintain a collection of teaching toys to bring to each location
Commute from home to home – lessons are currently taught in Bel Air, West Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Culver City, Pacific Palisades, and surrounding areas
The SwimsCool mission is to empower children by using creative, fun, and result-driven methods to teach water safety and swim skills. Our goal is to ensure swimming is safe, fun and instinctive for children. Every year, SwimsCool successfully teaches children, as early as three years old, how to swim the breaststroke and dive. In addition to spending a workday spent outdoors and, in a pool, the teaching is fulfilling and there is no shortage of young, smart and funny personalities to enjoy while teaching.SwimsCool is committed to maintaining an inclusive, collaborative and creative work culture. As a growing company with 10+ years of swim experience, SwimsCool is hiring instructors who will continue to grow and learn as we expand to new areas and a larger clientele. We teach children one-on-one at private residences, HOA facilities and our local pool in Beverly Hills. SwimsCool is training new instructors using our methods and curriculum developed after 10+ years of incredible results. Instructors have flexibility, autonomy, a positive work environment and an opportunity to, both, learn and teach!
