We are looking for a hard-working, dedicated, and professional preschool teacher to join our team! Our school hosts a powerful PBL educational model for our students: 8:1 student/teacher ratio, Spanish immersion, financial literacy, weekly off campus experiential learning (field trips), Montessori / Reggio inspired curriculum, play-based learning, and so much more.

Qualifications:

Ability to speak English and Spanish fluently is highly preferred.

2 years teaching experience preferred.

Responsible for writing and overseeing students Individual Learning Plans in partnership with co-teacher.

Responsible for planning weekly lesson plans in connection with curriculum and methodologies.

First Aid and CPR Certification or willingness to complete training.

Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice and classroom management.

Knowledge of literacy across the curriculum.

Developed skills in conflict resolution and empowerment with respect of children and parents.

Demonstrates professionalism, confidentiality and integrity.

Committed to the idea of continued personal and professional growth as an educator.

Must have a valid CA driver’s license and an excellent driving record.

Essential Functions/Duties:

Operate company van in the transportation of students on field trips.

Provide a safe and secure environment and ensure that children are supervised at all times.

Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the children.

Attend all mandatory meetings and events.

Arrive on time to classroom.

Ensure equipment and the facility are clean, well maintained and safe at all times.

Build children’s self-esteem and independence.

Clearly and effectively communicate in a manner that children understand.

Observe children and make note of progress.

Conduct parent teacher conferences twice a year.

Address parent concerns in a timely manner.

Other duties as assigned.

Physical Capabilities:

Be able to lift 25-35 lbs.

Be able to walk, squat/kneel, sit on floor, see, hear, speak with children to ensure children’s health and safety.

Other:

Must submit a criminal background check.

Must be up to date with all health vaccinations and tests (including tuberculosis testing) as determined by the State of California.

Must be vaccinated for Covid-19.
