We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our vibrant community. Our school serves children from the toddler years through to Kindergarten, offering programs designed to nurture growth and development through hands-on, collaborative learning. With two campuses, we foster an environment where each child’s curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking are celebrated.

At Happy Birch Preschool, we focus on constructivism—a learning process that allows children to actively engage with and explore their environment. Our approach creates a strong foundation for cognitive flexibility, critical thinking, creative problem solving, and social development. The teaching philosophy emphasizes collaboration between children, teachers, parents, and the larger community.

What We’re Looking For:

A Lead Teacher to be an essential part of our dedicated team, to work closely with children inspiring curiosity, fostering social and emotional growth, and promoting cognitive development. You should have a strong understanding of early childhood development and a commitment to creating a positive, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment. You will guide children in their discovery process, helping them develop the tools and skills they need for lifelong learning.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities to support the child’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

Foster a nurturing, safe, and enriching learning environment.

Collaborate with parents and teachers to track children’s progress and provide individualized support.

Lead group activities, facilitating social development.

Incorporate a variety of educational approaches to enhance tools of mind, cognitive flexibility, and critical thinking.

Engage children in group play and artistic exploration to surface their creativity and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.

Previous experience working with young children in a preschool setting.

Strong appreciation of developmental milestones and constructivist teaching methods.

Ability to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

At Happy Birch Preschool, we are inspired by the work of pioneers such as Jean Piaget, Heinz Werner, Lev Vygotsky, Jerome Bruner, and Howard Gardner, as well as the Reggio Emilia tradition. If you share our philosophy and are eager to make a meaningful impact on children’s early development, we encourage you to apply!

How to Apply: Please send your resume and cover letter to [email protected]. We look forward to hearing from you!
