Emerging Artists Musical Theatre Academy is seeking enthusiastic and qualified professional teaching artists to join our team!
EAMTA has served Long Beach, CA and Torrance, CA for over ten years with musical theatre education for students age 3-15 years. We educate through classes, Spring, Summer, Winter camps, workshops, and productions.
This is a contract role for a Musical Theatre Teaching Artist at Emerging Artists Musical Theatre Academy located in Long Beach and Torrance, CA. The Musical Theatre Teaching Artist will be responsible for developing, delivering, and assessing musical theatre curriculum to students ranging from ages 3-15. They will work with students to develop individual and group musical theatre skills and ensure students have a professional and enriching learning experience.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Musical Theatre, Theatre Education, or related field
Ability to lead and manage groups of students in a classroom setting
Understanding of developmental stages and effective teaching techniques for musical theatre
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Significant experience in performing and/or directing or choreographing musical theatre productions
Knowledge of current trends and practices in musical theatre industry
Ability to collaborate with other teaching artists, staff, and parents to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Availability (Not required for all dates/times but need to be available for the majority)

Times vary but are within the range of 8:30am-2:30pm
