We are a small independent tutoring company founded by classroom teachers, with offices in Culver City and Manhattan Beach. We run a dynamic small-group program where we conference with students in singles, pairs or occasionally threes and fours, within the context of a larger group setting. It has the community feeling and energy of a one-room schoolhours or multi-age workshop, while still allowing for some customization for each student.
We are hiring at both locations for multiple roles, part-time to start immediately.
At our Culver City office, we need specialist in the honors level math subject:
pre-calculus including the new AP
AP Calculus AB
AP Physics if possible
Hours:
Monday-Thursday At least two days per week
Culver City: approx 4:30-8pm
Both: May have opportunities this fall to add morning hours to serve homeschool/hybrid students
Plus everyone on the team puts in some remote work/meeting hours and occasional Saturdays
We are looking for teachers with recent classroom experience in the LA area, or highly experienced tutors who have worked with small groups and understand multiple learning styles/school curricular approaches.
You would be working collaboratively on a small, highly professional team including the owner/CEO. The hours are consistent and the environment is supportive. We work in-person at our centers in a dynamic group setting but with opportunity to do one-on-one and very small group instruction. There is a strong feeling of community and also a great chance to get to know students very well over a period of years.
