We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Independent Living Skills Educator to join our team! As an ILS educator, you will be responsible for enhancing the personal development and independent living skills of our consumers with a wide range of disabilities.
Your primary responsibility will be to work with consumers on a one-on-one basis, developing strategic goal plans to ensure their ISP/IPP goals are being achieved. You will visit consumers daily/weekly to provide support for short- and long-term goals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to consumers with developmental disabilities
- Develop strategic goal plans with consumers to achieve their ISP/IPP goals
- Visit consumers daily/weekly to support short- and long-term goals
- Enhance consumers' personal development and independent living skills
- Maintain accurate records of progress and provide regular updates to consumers and their families
Requirements:
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of and experience with ISP/IPP goal planning
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Have basic computer skills (Microsoft office, database operations, internet, email, Excel)
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping others
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Bilingual a plus
