Eden Creative Arts is a Christian project-based Spanish immersion micro school dedicated to providing a holistic, hands-on educational experience for our students. Our mission is to nurture both academic and spiritual growth in a small, supportive community.
Position Overview:
We are seeking two enthusiastic and dedicated Teachers to join our dynamic team at Eden Creative Arts. These positions will involve teaching a small group of 12-14 students in grades 1st to 3rd. The ideal candidates will be passionate about education, skilled at engaging students in meaningful learning experiences, and committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment. This role requires a deep understanding of child development, strong communication skills, and a collaborative spirit.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development and Instruction:
Develop and implement engaging, project-based lesson plans that align with our holistic educational philosophy. Integrate visual and performing arts into core subjects to enhance student learning and creativity.
Student Assessment and Support:
Assess student progress through various methods, including observations, assessments, and project evaluations. Provide individualized support and adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
Classroom Management:
Create a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment that promotes respect, cooperation, and active learning. Implement effective behavior management strategies in line with school policies.
Communication:
Maintain open and effective communication with parents, students, and colleagues. Provide regular updates on student progress and participate in parent-teacher conferences.
Professional Development:
Engage in continuous professional growth through workshops, training, and collaboration with colleagues. Stay current with educational best practices and integrate new approaches into teaching.
Christian Values and Guidance:
Model and teach Christian values, incorporating faith-based principles into daily lessons and interactions with students.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field
- Valid teaching credential or certification
- Experience in project-based learning and arts integration
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
- Commitment to Christian education and the values of Eden Creative Arts
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus
