The Debate Coach is responsible for leading an experienced debate class, preparing middle school students for tournaments, and developing supplementary resources related to the school's debate curriculum for a prestigious and well established organization. Classes start September 2024. Part-time weekend position with prospect of expanded responsibilities. Available to coach on weekends.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Minimum one year debate coaching experience
Competitive speech and debate experience at high school or college level
Have clear and updated knowledge of debate rules and regulations
Display a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently, work independently, and demonstrate ethical and responsible behavior and attention to details
Must be willing and able to chaperone students to tournaments in Southern California. Minimal out-of-town travel
Bachelor's Degree
The ideal candidate will be passionate about debate, caring about student growth, with a proven track record, and be able to commit for at least one academic year.
