Accounts Payable Specialist (QuickBooks) – Accounting & Administration

Position Summary:
Frimex Hospitality Group (Frida Mexican Cuisine, Cantina Frida and Frida Tacos) is looking for a highly motivated Accounts Payable Specialist (QuickBooks) to join our team in the Accounting and Administration office of our growth company. Under the guidance and supervision of the Accounting Manager and Chief Administrative & Financial Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for all areas of AP and related accounting, administration, and other tasks / projects. This person will work independently within a team-oriented environment, completely aligned with department and corporate goals, as we continue to grow in the exciting restaurant industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform full cycle Accounts Payable QuickBooks for multiple companies, including restaurants and corporate office
Checks – Prepare weekly, monthly, and other checks or online payments for regular and approved items, record in proper expense or capital accounts, maintain and update check logs, releases, holds, outstandings, clearings, and reconciliations, to be in sync with QuickBooks and other records
Managers and Chefs – Coordinate with Restaurant Managers and Chefs to ensure all purchases for products and services are properly approved and paid in a timely manner, understand nature of the expense or cost, take credits when appropriate
Vendor Relations – Develop and maintain excellent vendor relations, manage reconciled accounts with QB match to statements supported with proper invoices, maintain communications and records, ensure all product and service accounts are in excellent order
Record all AP other QB entries, such as sales journals or journal entries
Excel and Word - Prepare various accounting, office related reports, and schedules
Maintain accounting records and files, and other documents in a secure manner
Various office and administrative support and duties
Complete special projects and perform other duties, as may be assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
QuickBooks, Excel, and Word
Accounting degree or qualified accounting knowledge
Minimum 2-5 years relevant professional experience
Positive attitude, results-oriented, collaborative, and agile
Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills
Trustworthy, completely reliable, and very quick to respond
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to handle confidential information
Professional and pleasant demeanor
Spanish speaking, preferred but not required

Corporate Office: Currently located in Beverly Hills but will be moving to West Los Angeles around February 2025
Full Time at the office: Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm (can be modified)
Compensation: $21-$25 / TBD / eligible for company benefits as appropriate
