Receptionist

Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Receptionist in the Construction/Contractor industry. The role will be based in Long Beach, California, 90805, United States. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our company. Your duties will include offering administrative support across the organization, welcoming guests and greeting people who visit the business, as well as coordinating front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls.Responsibilities: Serve as the first point of contact for our company, greeting guests and directing them as needed. Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls, ensuring no call is missed. Perform administrative tasks such as data entry and maintaining accurate records. Use a switchboard to route incoming calls to the appropriate parties. Operate office equipment, such as smartphones and photocopiers, and maintain office supplies. Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material. Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email. Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries. Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing. Requirements Familiarity with smartphones and their applications Experience with handling switchboards, ideally with 1-10 lines Ability to perform data entry tasks with accuracy and efficiency Prior experience in receptionist duties such as customer service, call handling, and administrative support Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to multitask and prioritize work Attention to detail and problem-solving skills Basic knowledge of MS Office and data programs Experience in the construction or contractor industry would be beneficial Customer service orientation and professional attitude High school diploma or equivalent; higher degree in a relevant discipline will be appreciated.
