Description We have a short-term contract employment opportunity Patient Registration Supervisor at a Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. We are seeking a Patient Registration Supervisor to supervise, train, and motivate a team of registration representatives, ensuring efficient patient access services.Responsibilities: Supervise and motivate a team of registration representatives to ensure efficient patient access services Resolve conflicts and make decisions to ensure smooth operations Interact professionally with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, providing empathetic customer service Handle stressful situations calmly and professionally, ensuring patients feel heard and cared for during the admission process Understand and adhere to patient privacy laws, including HIPAA in the U.S., and maintain confidentiality Familiarize oneself with insurance verification, billing practices, and coding Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and compliance requirements Review medical records and patient information carefully to ensure proper admissions processing Communicate complex information, such as insurance policies and financial responsibilities, to patients and internal teams clearly and effectively Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively Coordinate patient flow, ensuring that all required documents and information are collected Troubleshoot complex or unforeseen issues during the admissions process Utilize Electronic Health Records (EHR) and other healthcare management software proficiently Understand insurance verification, pre-certification, and billing processes, and assist patients in understanding their financial obligations and payment options Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, reducing wait times, and increasing patient satisfaction Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other hospital staff to ensure smooth patient admissions and transfers.Requirements Proven experience in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry. Proficiency in Customer Service and Data Entry tasks. Solid understanding of Documentation Procedures and Policies. Ability to Review and understand Insurance plans and Medical Coverage. Demonstrated Supervising experience with strong Leadership Skills. Knowledge of Billing procedures and ability to Troubleshoot related issues. Capacity to Perform Ad Hoc Financial tasks as needed. Familiarity with industry Regulations and Practices. Excellent Communication Skills and ability to Conduct effective conversations. Strong Time Management and Collaboration skills. Knowledge of Coding procedures and Confidentiality protocols. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suites. Experience in managing Medical Records and resolving related Issues. Understanding of Law Regulations in the healthcare sector.
