Staff service to perform a full range of duties related to
generating Call Center reports, complex scheduling appointments,
procedures, testing, ordering medication refills, and requesting
medication renewals. They support the supervisor to ensure the call
center functions properly by using an interdisciplinary coordinated
care delivery model. They work collaboratively with staff for all

Prioritizing tasks and making decisions based on Call Center
needs
Transferring calls to the VISN 22 Advice Nurses or Care Managers
for patients/callers that potentially have an emergent or urgent
care need
Resolving or referring for resolution non-urgent outpatient care
needs to their Specialty Care areas
Attempt to resolve patient needs within their designated role
Assist patients/callers with various medication requests
Assist HAS Academy with training and/or orientation needed by
the program

QualificationsTo qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements

Basic Requirements:
- United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be

- Experience and Education: Six months experience of clerical,
office or other work that indicates the ability to acquire the
particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of
the position; OR one year above high school; OR
equivalent combination of experience and education which is
qualifying for entry level for which both education and
experience is acceptable.Grade Determinations:Specialized Experience
One year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the next
lower grade level (GS-06).Assignment
The Lead MSA monitors and makes work assignments, provides input on
performance, resolves daily workplace issues and maintains efficient
workflow. Assignments at this level include, but are not limited to:
assuring coverage of all areas of responsibility; conducting ongoing
reviews to ensure quality of work; ensuring accurate and timely
scheduling of appointments; providing guidance to staff members to
include changes in policies and procedures; distributing and
balancing workload; creating and maintaining employee work
schedules; orienting and providing on-the-job training for new and
current employees; ensuring all training requirements are met;
organizing the work structure of his/her assigned areas; and acting
as liaison between MSA and staff in order to resolve day to day
conflicts. For all assignments above the full performance level, the
higher level duties must consist of significant scope,
administrative independence, complexity (difficulty) and range of
variety as described in this standard at the specified grade level
and be performed by the incumbent at least 25% of the time.Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

1. Ability to organize work, set priorities, and delegate
tasks/responsibilities in order to meet deadlines.
2. Skill in communicating with individuals in order to obtain the
desired effect, ensuring compliance with established policies and
regulations.
3. Ability to provide staff development and training.
4. Ability to manage staffing requirements, manage priorities, and
coordinate work in order to complete duties in an accurate and
timely manner. This includes the ability to follow-up on pending
issues and demonstrating an understanding of the impact of
incomplete work.
5. Ability to review and monitor data to ensure all reports are

periods of siting and some waling and bending. Time will be spend at
a computer terminal performing various keyboard functions while work
is not extremely physical in nature the incumbent will work under
pressure with multiple tasks, changing priorities, and stringent
deadlines. Performed in an indoor call center setting with close
proximity to other staff members. Not generally subject to unusual
exposure to risk or discomforts but certain safety precautions may
be necessary. Generally performed in temperature-controlled
environment with adequate lighting throughout the workplace.EducationEducation cannot be use to substitute experience at this grade
