Shipping Assistant

Description:Responsibilities The Shipping Assistant ensures production parts are accurately counted, packaged for protection, meets customer packaging and labeling requirements and are ready for shipping on order due date. Required to cross train on shipping duties such as ship Domestic and International freight shipments via UPS, FedEx, DHL, Yellow, OD freight and XPO freight as well as charge credit cards, create invoices and send email to customers. Process finished packaged order via Business Central ERP system (assembly process) Ship Domestic and International freight shipments via UPS, FedEx, DHL, Yellow, OD freight and XPO freight. Process finished packaged order via Business Central ERP system (assembly process) Use counting scale or hand count to ensure order is accurately filled. Choose or fabricate appropriate size box to protect product while minimizing waste. Inner packaging protected through plastic wrap or ziploc bags, and appropriate dunnage. Create shipment on pallets, shrink-wrap and strapped. Send customer emails regarding their orders. Follow Quality Management System every time an order is packaged.
