Greets patients and directs them to appropriate departments

Answers multiple phone lines, directs calls, and takes messages as needed

Verifies patient information and insurance eligibility; collects payments

Directs patients to complete forms and processes patient-related paperwork

Informs provider’s assistant of no-shows and cancellations

Makes follow-up appointments for patients and calls patients to confirm appointments

Contacts “bumped” patients and reschedules appointments as appropriate

May help with ordering of office supplies

Performs various front-office duties in a fast-paced, customer-oriented clinical environment as assigned

Performs other duties as assigned by business

Providing a positive patient experience at each patient encounter

Contribute to maintaining a high consistency rate in patient experience

Assist with labeling and distribution of faxes

Assist with the checkout process

Assist with pursuit lists to meet metrics, specifically with scheduling appointments

High School Diploma/GED (or higher)

1+ years of experience working in a customer service-based role

Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

1+ years of experience working in a healthcare office setting

Bilingual in Spanish

California Residents Only: The hourly range for California residents is $16.00 to $28.27 per hour.
