Description We are looking for a diligent Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Lathrop, California. This role is vital to ensuring prompt and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers within our logistics industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for various tasks, including invoice verification and reconciliation, maintaining records, and assisting with closing activities.Responsibilities: Handle incoming invoices from vendors and suppliers, ensuring they are processed accurately and promptly Perform billing and account reconciliations Match invoices with corresponding purchase orders and receiving documents for accuracy Identify and reconcile discrepancies in invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents Prepare and process payments to vendors through various methods such as check or electronic transfer Keep accurate and up-to-date records of accounts payable transactions Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies in a timely manner Assist in month-end closing activities, including preparing accruals and reconciling accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely approval of invoices and adherence to payment terms Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager Requirements Minimum of 2 years' experience in an Accounts Payable Clerk role or similar Proficient in account reconciliation and accounts payable (AP) Experience with check runs and coding invoices Strong data entry skills Familiar with invoice processing procedures Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience working with Oracle and SAP Knowledge in using QuickBooks for accounting tasks Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and accuracy in work Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must adhere to confidentiality and data protection procedures.
