As Staff Accountant, your duties will include preparing monthly and year-end closings, journal entries, fixed asset maintenance, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. A very involved position, this role produces Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. You'll also have responsibility over various aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. You'll also be involved in compliance, communicate with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes.Key responsibilities
Carry out fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
Ad-hoc tasks and special projects, as needed
Organize capital lease and monthly payment schedules
Manage the design and creation of balance sheet analysis and communicate reports to management
Be a part of various department-wide initiatives
Be responsible for account reconciliations including prepaid expenses, payroll, and other assignments
Conduct month end close, journal entries, without supervision
Offer succinct analysis on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a clear and concise manner
Partake in annual closing processes
Take part the in implementation and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP Requirements - Candidate must possess first-rate analytical, quantitative and social skills
2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
Command of Invoice reconciliation
Foundational knowledge in QuickBooks
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Efficient in ERP systems
