CBRE GWS delivers consistent, measurably superior outcomes for our clients at every stage of the lifecycle, and across industries and geographies.About the roleThis is a great opportunity to provide facilities regional engineering support of Research Labs & maintenance support to an innovative Life Sciences/ Pharmaceutical facility in La Jolla, California.Travel no more than 10%.What you’ll do

Coordinate & communicate building system outages for preventative maintenance

Complete annual capital needs assessment based on knowledge of building systems

Complete annual Asset Inventory Count

Provide oversight of both building equipment & preventative maintenance tasks ensuring reliability

Participate in all Health, Safety & Environmental objectives as directed

Ownership of CAD drawings for buildings – drawing system is in process of being developed

Use Organizational Change System to detail critical system changes

Coordinate small scale projects with scientists as requested

Benchmark & present new facilities technology as feasible for consideration

Attend Capital Project meetings related to your buildings and provide technical mentorship

Build and modify preventative maintenance procedures as needed

Ensure new building assets are set up in the CMMS system and coordinated into the building management system.

Buildings Systems include, but not limited to:

Air handlers, exhaust fans, fume hoods & bio hoods

Safety showers & eye washes

Vacuum systems

Steam PRV’s & condensate recovery systems

Potable water pumps

Chilled water and heating hot water

Electrical sub-stations

Sanitary & storm sewers

Fire protection

General infrastructure (exterior included).

What you’ll needBachelors or equivalent experience in Engineering preferred and a minimum of three years in Facilities environment.Demonstrated experience and knowledge of building systems, maintenance, and utilities.
